Earth Hour

Well, aside from the selfishness of genes, I believe that people are fully capable of turning off electricity for a while. We are so dependent on it! Today there was an "Earth Hour" where many people on Earth turned off as much electricity as they could for an hour. I did, and sat around by candlelight. It really was fun, it gave me a chance to sit and talk with my family. There weren't distractions that are so easily found with the lights on, like food, computers, movies. I felt like an environmentalist for that hour, but I would like to join in on the "green" lifestyle some more... So if anyone knows of a part-time job or internship, let me know! That would be awesome. That is if anyone is reading this, I would be suprised you found me! Ok, now shut down that computer while you sleep, and unplug your cell phone charger. Thanks. Jess

The selfish gene

Wow, what a selfish gene, I can't believe it thinks I'm here to merely let it propogate itself... what a realization to come to. Don't think too hard about it though, that gene obviously doesn't want you to get all sad about it, cause then you might be tempted to sell it or something.

Let me tell you what really matters... after I eat. Cause that's way important.
